From our 240-acre plantation in Tonopah, Arizona, we grow Australian native trees and plants for landscapes across the U.S. Our first-generation seed and original cuttings are sourced directly from Australia, with regular research trips to the Outback helping us discover and introduce new varieties selected for their beauty, resilience, and performance.
Our plants are chosen for real performance: heat resistance, drought tolerance, evergreen character, long blooming seasons, and non-invasive root systems. Our team helps buyers understand the differences between species, sizes, uses, and availability so they can make better decisions from the start.

Paul D. Chambers, C.H., owner and president of the Australian Outback Plantation, LLC., has been growing and planting Australian trees and plants in the United States for over 40 years. Arriving with a suitcase full of indigenous seed and the applicable USDA import permits, he recognized the potential and the need for Australian plants in the desert southwest.
With a degree in horticulture from the Australian National University in Canberra, ACT, Australia, and led by Paul’s experience, a dedicated team assists Paul in growing, developing and researching Australian native species at our 240-acre plantation, located in Harquahala Valley, Arizona. The local climate perfectly mimics Australia’s outback conditions with the same extreme heat, low rainfall, and arid environment. Since the beginning in the 1990’s, the plantation has become an established source for proven Australian native trees and plants, while honoring Paul’s Australian heritage.
